When Robert walked through the bustling streets of Amsterdam, he noticed a strong desire for flavorful delicacies among the people around him. Think of Flemish fries, artisanal ice cream, crispy cookies, and exotic oriental treats that tantalize the taste buds. However, a good sandwich with Dutch meatballs proved to be a rarity in the city.
After more than ten years of dreaming about his passion, Robert finally took action in November 2022. The idea for Meat The Balls was born when he shared his vision with his son Koen and son-in-law Rob. Together, they are now the driving forces behind this unique concept. With their combined effort, they have devised a plan to breathe new life into the classic meatball sandwich.
One thing is clear: the overall package has to be perfect. The meatball sandwich is transformed into a luxury sandwich with a completely new twist, and even the accompanying coffee had to be of top quality.
